Here's the mission statement:

"The Citizens Climate Corps is a grassroots, citizen-led organization that seeks to slow global warming by identifying, researching, and advocating for strategic solutions that reduce manmade, heat-trapping gases in southwestern Pennsylvania via project-based campaigns and education."

It's just a fancy way of saying that we believe that citizens have an important role to play in solving climate change. Citizens see first-hand where energy is being used unwisely in their homes, workplaces, stores, places of worship, etc. Citizens also have creative ideas to make change. Joining together empowers people to take action.
